Who Likes Free STUFF?

Thanks to everyone for the thoughtful and insightful comments about homework. I will be responding individually over the next day or two. You all gave me lots to think about– and I am glad that I am not the only one who struggles with this hot topic.

Today I am tackling THE GARAGE. My poor (wonderful!) parents have a garage full of my stuff from 2 different apartments and 2 different classrooms and my 2 brothers’ things from college. Before I let myself buy anything new for school this year, I told my parents I would sort through ALL of my buried boxes of school supplies, books, etc. A lot of supplies are being donated to underprivileged students and many books to Better World Books, but there are certain teaching resources that I want to find a better home for πŸ™‚

As I find teaching resources that I no longer need, I am going to post them on here. I will send them to whoever leaves a comment first. Make sure you include your e-mail so I can get your address. For now, I am going to send everything media mail to the US only to save some $ on shipping. Let me know the exact titles you want! Hopefully you can find something you can use πŸ™‚

For now, I am happy to pass on:

  • Scholastic American History Comic Books (Grades 4-6)
  • Scholastic Standards-Based Social Studies Activities with Rubrics (Grades 4-6)
  • Scholastic Totally Terrific Social Studies Activities (Grades 3-6)
  • The Declaration of Independence in Translation by Amie Jane Leavitt
  • Liberty! How the Revolutionary War Began by Lucille Recht Penner
  • Math Skills Activity Book: Math in American History (Grades 5-8+)

  • Solve It! Multiply and Divide game
  • Scholastic Science Graphic Organizers and Mini-Lessons (Grades 4-6)
  • Science Works: The Rock Factory by Jacqui Bailey and Matthew Lilly

  1. Hi Kate –

If you find anything for grade 3… I would LOVE to take it off of your hands. As I am a brand new teacher, I have nothing but what I have collected which seems to be all organizing supplies. Thanks!
