Hi wonderful teachers! Happy Teacher Appreciation Week! What does your school do to celebrate? Our Student Organization (which I run!) has the students of the school write notes of appreciation to their favorite teachers and our PTA makes an AMAZING luncheon. We are so lucky to feel so much love 🙂 I keep telling my kids that the best way to show their teacher that they appreciate them is to DO YOUR HOMEWORK 🙂
In celebration of Teacher Appreciation Week, Teachers Pay Teachers is having an amazing “up to 28% off” sale! This Tuesday and Wednesday, many sellers have discounted their entire stores 20%. TPT is offering an additional 10% off with code THANKYOU

Ohhh, hello like 7 months later 🙂 No good excuses except school was crazy + I had a group of 6th graders who were more interested in finding me on social media than paying attention in math class! Hahaha jk. They were fabulous students, but not joking about the social media part. This summer has been crazy interesting…school ended on a Thursday, we started moving into our condo ON THE BEACH on Sunday, Monday afternoon D went to the doctor and found out the “muscle strain” in his abs was actually a RUPTURED APPENDIX, followed by emergency surgery that night, 4 days in the hospital, and….we had to leave for the TPT conference in Vegas a few days after he got home! Luckily, he’s a trooper (he did have a ruptured appendix for SEVEN DAYS and barely thought anything of it) and we went to Vegas, had an unbelievable time meeting everyone at the conference and then we spent another week plus touring EIGHT different National Parks!
So to jump back into the swing of blogging, I decided to join in on Five for Friday
I posted this question on my teacher instagram (follow me and say hi!) and was amazed by the responses I got!
So….what about you???! I am having such a difficult time figuring this out. Last year I bought tons of tape a dispensers and spent well over $200 on tape…there has to be a better way, right? I already stocked up on tons of Elmer glue sticks at Target this week, but I am interested to know what you use! Does anyone use liquid glue and have any tips for making it work?!
I’ve been working on things for next year like crazy! Lots of time on my laptop this past week while driving from park to park! I am so excited for the new things I will be doing in my classroom. Check out some of my new products for the beginning of the year:
No picture for this one, yet! As I mentioned in the beginning, we moved into a condo on the BEACH (I also teach at the BEACH). We are having a great time unpacking, setting up and decorating. I can’t wait to share pictures of the finished product!
Can I ever start a post without apologizing for taking like 5 months off from blogging? Nope. Impossible. I suck at this whole blogging thing! That being said, I hope everyone had an unbelievable holiday and a great 2013! Just wanted to stop by quick to let you know about a freebie I posted….really I posted it last year, but I updated it for 2014.
I am planning on giving this to the students to work on the day we get back from break. We have conferences the Thursday we get back and I would love to have these up for the parents to see!
Also, just as a little thank you for the support over the year, I am having a 15% off sale in my TpT store today and tomorrow!
Have a safe and happy New Years Ever!
How do teachers teach AND blog? I really don’t understand 🙂 This year has been wonderful + challenging all at the same time. I’m teaching 2 inclusion classes and I am absolutely loving it. We started out Interactive Math Notebooks and the students are really doing a great job with them! I’m exhausted already and it’s only Monday! This year is shaping up to be quite a year! All I can manage right now is a photo collage of random Instagram pictures of my classroom (made on Fotor!)
Sorry for the sporadic posting and my inability to focus on the 2013-2013 school year…exactly one week ago, I married the great love of my life!
It was the most beautiful wedding (even if it was like 100 degrees). D and I are s thankful for our amazing friends and family who made this wedding possible!
We’re currently finishing up week one of our THREE week honeymoon (ahhh teachers are SO LAZY— what’s working all summer :)). Our first week was spend in San Diego.
The next two weeks include an epic road trip to the following places: Vegas, Joshua Tree, Death Valley, Yosemite, San Fran, Napa, Monterey, LA, San Luis Obispo, and Sonoma. I’m going to try and post some new things during this time (hahahahahahhahaha). Hope everyone is having a great summer!
