Coordinate Grid Foldable

If you follow me on Pinterest, you may have seen this pin last week. I have been pretty obsessed with foldables lately. I tend to make foldables with my 6th and on occasion, my 7th graders, but I decided my 8th graders needed some foldables fun too! We have been graphing points and have moved onto linear equations. I had so much catch-up to do with them last year, we didn’t get to do too much graphing, so we have been working on the basics.

I create a foldable template using the 4 door template that I made. The doors overlap a little bit, but it still works.

They labeled each quadrant on the front.

On the inside, the students labeled the y-axis and x-axis. They also plotted and labeled one point in each quadrant. Students labeled the sign of the coordinates in each quadrant.

Click on the picture below for the printable template

Enjoy!

  1. You are the foldable queen! I want to use these in my classroom…especially this one…I could have used it today! 🙂 Thanks so much for sharing!

  2. I love this! It would be perfect for a review I have coming up!

  3. I’m assuming you have the students glue these foldables in their notebooks? I haven’t used foldables too much in the past but you have definitely inspired me to do them! I am a new follower and of all the blogs I’ve seen this summer (thank you pinterest) yours is by far my favorite! Thank you again for all your creativity!

  4. Fabulous idea very creative. Thanks we are just working on coordinate planes.

  5. Thank you, I used this today!

  6. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Using this tomorrow in my 6th grade Math class. You’ve got great stuff on here!
